| Purpose: | To improve collective knowledge of the effects of residential green construction on indoor environmental quality and occupant health, especially the health of sensitive populations such as children and elderly, in low-income households. Projects will seek to improve knowledge of the benefits of residential green building methods on indoor environmental quality and occupant health.
Specific areas of interest for this program are:
-Greening of low income housing
-Residential green building according to voluntary guidelines
-Determining the effects of specific features
-Injury prevention measures
-Topic areas consistent with the goals and objectives of the Green and Healthy Homes Technical Studies Program and Healthy Homes Program.
Applicants are encouraged to work cooperatively and involve community participation as an integral part of their project. |
